Life thoughts......

Hi Annie,

I just discovered your blog. I was diagnosed with CML on March 13, 2006. Thanks to Gleevec I have been in remission for 3 years and 3 months. When I read Dr. Druckers' interview below I am struck each time I read how bleak it was such a short time ago for CML patients. What a miracle to still be here and to be fine. When I was diagnosed my mother was battling Ovarian Cancer. I didn't want to have to tell her about my Leukemia. It would have been unbearable for her. Because of Gleevec I was able to carry on normally and not tell her. Before Gleevec I may have died before her. I am so thankful that she was spared that. I thank God for people like Dr. Drucker. We must do everything possible to keep supporting this research that is sparing all of us a lot heartache. I am so happy about your son. We have so much to be thankful for.
